Krüper's Nuthatch
Smaller and even more compact than Nuthatch but with proportionately longer bill. Mainly slaty-blue above and white below, with sharply-patterned head black fore crown in males (duller and less defined in females) and diagnostic broad reddish-brown chest-band.
Always confined to coniferous forests Flight and behaviour resemble Nuthatch, but more active and agile, forages high in trees moving around like a tit reaching outermost twigs which larger Nuthatches do not. A fidgety bird which can be hard to observe and photograph.
Main sites around Dalyan are the woods behind the beach directions are found on the Iztuzu Road and Dolmus End of Beach and the woods and walks around Okçular village
