Smaller and shorter than Water Rail. Compact, oval-shaped crake, with soft-toned plumage profusely spotted white. Under tail-coverts conspicuously buff, Bill yellow, with red spot at base of upper mandible.
Seen in September on a number of days in 2015 at Rocky Outcrop Canal Route, hard to say if it is a regular visitor further visits by birders at this time of year may help to inform. Ideal habitat for migrant passage
